Responsible for monitoring and reporting of receipts, production, scrap and other inventory-related data on the computer to accurately maintain inventory levels of production material.
Ensures proper warehousing practices and material flow to support production requirements while maintaining quality.
These practices include proper FIFO inventory rotation.
Helps coordinates flow of materials or products.
Responsible for monitoring the scheduling of incoming production material.
Assist with cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory accountability
Responsible for expediting incoming material as required.
Enforces safety compliance by ensuring the proper training is given in OSHA mandated regulations.
Follows safety regulations and enforces compliance with company safety rules and regulations.
Understands and complies with all company policies and procedures, and enforces workers to follow all company policies and procedures.
Monitors suppliers and commercial carriers to ensure that delivery schedules are consistently met and any error rectified on a timely basis.
Arranges for and follows up on special pick-ups and deliveries.
Arranges for disposal of surplus materials.
Develops and implements visual inventory management systems on the production floor.
Assists as required in resolving this disposition of substandard or rejected materials.
Ensures supplies are delivered on time to provide uninterrupted production and shipment of finished goods.
Utilizes and practices methods of continuous improvement.
Complies with all Company Safety policies, procedures and rules.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Must have recent experience in an Automotive Manufacturing plant.
