Job Title: Material/Shipping & Receiving Coordinator
Location: Louisville, KY 
Shift Hours: 

  • A- Monday – Thursday 6a- 430p
  • B- Tuesday – Friday 6p-430a
  • C- Friday& Saturday  6a-430p, Sunday & Monday 6p- 430a 

About the Role:

Our client is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material/Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to support day-to-day material handling, shipping, and inventory functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in inventory records, supporting timely supply chain activities, and communicating effectively across departments and with suppliers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Enter discrepancies (scrap, returns, cycle counts) into inventory systems and maintain accurate records

  • Perform regular cycle counts and inventory audits

  • Monitor inventory levels and validate via daily reports

  • Communicate supply issues and risks to suppliers and internal stakeholders

  • Assist with plant-wide inventory activities and material pulls as needed

  • Administer inbound/outbound expedite activities

  • Follow visual min/max procedures and notify planners of any violations

  • Enter receipts and maintain documentation in accordance with engineering change processes

  • Monitor and promote safe material handling behaviors among staff

  • Ensure compliance with company emergency evacuation procedures

  • Document all material movement and changes per company guidelines

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in materials, shipping, or manufacturing (automotive preferred)

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • High attention to detail and ability to follow through on assignments

  • Experience with Just-In-Time (JIT) environments is a plus

  • Ability to handle confidential information

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 5%
