Maintenance Planner (job description)
We have partnered with a Global Packaging and Printing Company to lead a search for their Maintenance Planner role near Cincinnati Ohio.
· Maintenance Planner’s goal is to improve equipment uptime, workforce productivity, and product quality.
· The planner will also ensure strict asset management and maintenance practices.
· This role will do this by planning, parts and materials, and equipment access.
· The Maintenance Planner will help lead the maintenance team through ownership of central parts storage, precise work planning, root cause analysis and drive accountability of the technical team.
Must Have’s:
· 5+ years’ experience as a Maintenance Planner in a Manufacturing Environment
· Strong organizational and planning skills
· Ability to lead in ambiguous situations and make tough decisions.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Proficiency in using maintenance planning and scheduling software.
· Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards
· Familiarity with maintenance equipment and supplies procurement processes
· Ability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and make recommendations.
· Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
Primary Responsibilities:
· Use the CMMS to develop and manage detailed maintenance schedules and work order systems.
· Coordinating and scheduling all maintenance activities.
· Ensuring that all maintenance work complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
· Use CMMS to maintain accurate records of maintenance performed, equipment condition, and maintenance costs.
· Leverage CMMS, equipment data and OEM guidance to develop and execute plans.
· Develop and publish maintenance KPIs.
· Work with engineering and operations teams to plan and implement equipment modifications and upgrades.
· Procure necessary maintenance supplies and equipment and manage the inventory thereof.
· Working with vendors and contractors as needed.
· Participate in the development and implementation of maintenance policies, procedures, and best practices.
Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering, Operations Management, Technical) or higher preferred.
