Job Description

Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all production equipment, forming lines, and facility systems.

Lead and supervise a small team of maintenance technicians and contractors; schedule and assign daily work priorities.

Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems to minimize downtime.

Manage maintenance parts inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships.

Develop and track maintenance KPIs including downtime, PM completion rates, and maintenance costs.

Coordinate with Production and Engineering on equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements.

Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations.

Maintain accurate documentation—equipment history, work orders, PM records, and maintenance budgets.

Support capital project planning, cost estimation, and equipment justification.

Lead root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 5+ years of maintenance experience in a metal forming, stamping, or fabrication environment.

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; familiarity with PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a small technical team.

Experience implementing and managing preventive maintenance systems (CMMS preferred).

Working knowledge of industrial safety and environmental compliance requirements.

Ability to read mechanical/electrical schematics and technical drawings.

Strong organizational and communication skills; able to balance hands-on work with management responsibilities.

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or maintenance certification preferred.
