Job Description

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all production equipment, forming lines, and facility systems.

  • Lead and supervise a small team of maintenance technicians and contractors; schedule and assign daily work priorities.

  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems to minimize downtime.

  • Manage maintenance parts inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships.

  • Develop and track maintenance KPIs including downtime, PM completion rates, and maintenance costs.

  • Coordinate with Production and Engineering on equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements.

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental regulations.

  • Maintain accurate documentation—equipment history, work orders, PM records, and maintenance budgets.

  • Support capital project planning, cost estimation, and equipment justification.

  • Lead root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.


Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of maintenance experience in a metal forming, stamping, or fabrication environment.

  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; familiarity with PLCs, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

  • Proven ability to lead, train, and motivate a small technical team.

  • Experience implementing and managing preventive maintenance systems (CMMS preferred).

  • Working knowledge of industrial safety and environmental compliance requirements.

  • Ability to read mechanical/electrical schematics and technical drawings.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills; able to balance hands-on work with management responsibilities.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or maintenance certification preferred.
