Role Summary:
As the Maintenance Manager, you will direct and manage all maintenance activities at our new facility, ensuring that production processes meet rigorous standards for safety, quality, and cost-efficiency. You’ll lead a multi-disciplinary team, oversee budget management, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of the plant’s maintenance functions.
Core Responsibilities:
- Build, create and hire a talented maintenance group
- Manage both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and maintain optimal equipment performance.
- Spearhead efforts to optimize production line efficiency, ensuring compliance with quality and safety benchmarks.
- Collaborate on optimizing facility layout to maximize space utilization and productivity.
- Install, organize and assist with design and layout of the facility. Supervise the introduction, testing, and validation of new machinery, tools, and processes.
- Apply lean methodologies and advanced quality planning tools (e.g., APQP, FMEA, mistake-proofing) to improve operations.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, equipment designs, and facility layouts.
- Contribute to capital projects involving new installations or facility upgrades.
What We’re Looking For:
- BS/BA is required, ideally in an engineering discipline.
- 10 years in maintenance management within a TPM or WCM environment; 5-10 years in a role managing other supervisors.
- Strong background in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement practices. Skilled in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, safety protocols, and project management.
- Technical electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills, understanding how to coach, teach and develop a diverse and strong maintenance crew
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, SAP, and the ability to implement effective improvement strategies.
