About the Role:
A well-established national law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its team in New York. This role offers the resources and support of a large firm while maintaining a personalized, boutique-style approach to client service.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of general commercial litigation.
- Work in New York State and federal courts.
- Draft and respond to pleadings and discovery.
- Draft and argue motions.
- Take and defend depositions, including expert depositions.
Job Requirements:
- Education: Juris Doctorate (JD).
- Licensing: Must be licensed to practice law in New York State.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of general commercial litigation experience.
- Skills: Strong research, writing skills, and academic record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trial experience (not required).
- Large law firm experience strongly preferred.
