COMMERCIAL LITIGATION ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY (PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY)

Location: Philadelphia, PA

 

Our client, a prestigious law firm recognized in the 2024 edition of Best Law Firms®, is seeking a highly-motivated Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Philadelphia. This is an outstanding opportunity for an attorney to handle a diverse caseload, including professional liability defense, healthcare litigation, and mass torts.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.

  • Active Bar Admission in Pennsylvania.

  • 2+ years of substantive experience in general commercial litigation, professional liability litigation (especially healthcare, E&O/D&O, specialty care and senior living litigation), human trafficking and sexual abuse litigation, mass torts and class action.

  • Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills, with the ability to draft persuasive pleadings and motions.

  • Highly motivated, with the initiative to take on significant case responsibility.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defend licensed professionals and institutions, including:

    • Nursing homes, treatment centers, and skilled care facilities

    • Insurance agents, brokers, lawyers, architects, and engineers

    • Professional sports teams and hospitality industry clients

  • Draft and argue motions, attend depositions, and participate in trial preparation.

  • Manage discovery, including document production and review.

  • Work closely with senior attorneys on case strategy and client counseling.
