International Trade – Senior Associate/ Attorney – Litigation & Trial Practice
Location: Washington, DC
Our client, a highly regarded AmLaw 50 law firm, seeks an experienced and motivated Senior Associate or Senior Attorney to join their integrated and full-service International Trade practice in Washington, DC. This position offers the opportunity to engage in a broad range of international trade matters, including customs, trade remedies, export controls, and national security regulatory issues.
Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Active Bar Admission in Washington, DC.
- 5+ years of substantive experience in trade remedies and/or customs matters.
- Strong verbal, analytical, and writing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Experience in areas such as antidumping, countervailing and safeguard duty proceedings, and customs compliance and enforcement is required.
- Familiarity with export control regulations (EAR, ITAR), OFAC sanctions, and CFIUS matters is a plus.
- More experienced candidates with relevant credentials may also be considered.
- Partners with business also considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in antidumping, countervailing, and safeguard duty proceedings.
- Provide counsel on customs compliance and enforcement matters, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Advise clients on export controls, including EAR, ITAR, and OFAC-related issues.
- Assist clients with national security regulatory matters, including CFIUS filings and reviews.
- Collaborate with a team of skilled attorneys to deliver comprehensive international trade services.
- Build and maintain client relationships, contributing to the growth of the practice.
