Lead Maintenance Engineer

The Lead Maintenance Engineer will lead the maintenance duties for this automotive manufacturing plant. This includes directing maintenance activities associated with production machine repair, preventive maintenance, building and outside grounds upkeep. Will also support engineering projects for the organization.

• Be involved in special projects relating to changes and improvements throughout the facility.
• Provide training and technical assistance to support maintenance efforts.
• Determine schedules and skill requirements for all shifts.
• Maintain a proper supply of machines, tools, and inventory of spare parts.
• Establish a technical library, reference materials and information.
• Incorporate a preventative maintenance program and document activities.
• Provide a clean, orderly and well-maintained maintenance atmosphere.
• Communicate with production, engineering and material service departments.
• Contract, communicate and follow work outside service providers.
• Support machine moves and changes needed by other departments.
• Communicate with upper management, relay company policies and requirements.
• Encourage the exchange of ideas, promote safety and responsibility.

 Requirements

• ·       BS Engineering
• ·       Four years of automotive manufacturing maintenance experience.
• ·       Experience leading capital projects.
