Responsibilities:

  • Handle all phases of employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims.

  • Manage FLSA and wage and hour matters, including class and collective actions.

  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and memoranda.

  • Take and defend depositions, manage discovery, and interview witnesses.

  • Prepare EEOC position statements, DFEH responses, and other administrative filings.

  • Provide advice and counsel to employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including:

  • COVID-related regulations and workplace safety laws

  • ADA/FEHA compliance and disability accommodation

  • FMLA, CFRA, PDL, and other leave laws

  • Offer guidance on labor relations, employee relations, and internal investigations.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

  • Active California Bar membership in good standing.

  • 4–7 years of experience in employment litigation.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of California and federal employment laws.

  • Experience managing cases independently while collaborating effectively within a team.

  • Strong research, analytical, and writing skills with a high attention to detail.

  • Excellent client service orientation and ability to communicate clearly and professionally.

  • A proactive, organized, and motivated approach to building a long-term career in employment law.
