Labor & Employment Associate
Location: Tampa, FL or West Palm Beach, FL

Our client, a distinguished national law firm, is seeking a highly-qualified and motivated Associate to join their Labor and Employment practice in Tampa or West Palm Beach.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Bar Admission in Florida, or willingness to obtain admission for strong candidates willing to relocate.
  • 3-4 years of substantive litigation experience, with a particular focus on employment law.
  • Knowledge of employment-related legislation such as FLSA, ERISA, COBRA, ADEA, ADA, FMLA, and Title VII is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated writing skills and strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on compliance with various employment laws and regulations.
  • Handle employment-related administrative actions and litigation.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and manage discovery processes.
  • Represent clients in trials and arbitrations related to employment disputes.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently on client matters, is essential in an environment that values drive and client service.
