TITLE: Labor & Delivery Nurse Manager or OB Manager

What they’re looking for:
•Bachelors Degree in Nursing. 
•Current Ohio RN License.
•At least 5 years of L&D experience required; management/supervisor level experience required.
Hours and compensation potential:
•The position is full-time.
•The range is between $82K-$95K year depending on experience.
•Full benefits package included and will help with relocation.
What you’ll be doing:
•Responsible for the operational management functions of planning, organizing, strategizing and providing leadership oversight of the clinical managers across the nursing units.
     Will oversee Labor & Delivery and Mother-Baby units
•Analyzes department related information regarding operations, budgets, personnel reports and/or other activities and develops action plans based on identified trends and variances.
•Maintains an effective system for managing and retrieving information to enhance operational efficiency.
•Demonstrates understanding of operational issues in areas of responsibility providing support as needed for staff.
•Develops, implements, and evaluates systems and processes that complete the overall system performance improvement.
•Functions as a resource for clinical managers and staff to assist in their clinical development, answer questions, clarify procedures, and assure patient-centered care is delivered consistently.
•Effectively manages staff.  Responsible for appropriate recruitment, selection and retention of staff attempting to minimize turnover of productive employees.
•Participates in preparation for accreditation surveys (HFAP and OOH). Prepares reports as requested by leadership to document issues. Works to ensure areas of responsibility and staff are prepared for surveys including updates or corrections.
•Assists with budget and department scorecard development.
•Reviews monthly budget variance for departments.

•Has 2-3 Clinical Nurse Coordinators/Educators for support.
•Some department detail: Obstetrics-LDR Model: 10 Labor Beds, 3 Antepartum/Triage private rooms, Mother Baby-19 Beds, Maternal Family Education Program-Lactation Support, Bereavement, Childbirth Education.
