Investment Funds – Mid/Senior Associate

(ATTORNEY)
Location: Charlotte, NC

An AmLaw 50 international law firm is seeking a team member to join its rapidly expanding Investment Funds team in Charlotte. This position requires a solid background in investment management and fund formation, with SEC experience being highly preferred.

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Must be bar certified in North Carolina.
  • Demonstrated experience in investment management and fund formation.
  • SEC experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proven ability in handling various types of funds including private equity, hedge, venture capital, real estate, and hybrid funds, as well as funds utilizing alternative investment strategies like BDCs, interval funds, and closed-end funds.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and excellent interpersonal skills, essential for direct client interaction and business development.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team in managing and expanding the investment funds practice.
  • Engage directly with clients to provide legal advice and assist with the structuring of investment products.
  • Play an active role in business development efforts to attract new clients and expand the firm’s reach in the investment funds market.
