Key Responsibilities:
Accurately code inpatient medical records using ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
Ensure compliance with federal regulations and guidelines.
Work collaboratively with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses and procedures to ensure accurate coding.
Review and resolve coding edits and denials.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines and regulatory changes.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of inpatient facility coding experience.
Certification from AHIMA (CCA, CCS) or AAPC (CPC, CIC) required.
Proficiency in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
