Guaranteed 32 hours per week, with certain times of year up to 40 hours per week.

 

As our Human Resource Generalist, you will run the daily functions of the HR department, including but not limited to interviewing and hiring new staff, processing bi-weekly payroll, managing employee benefits, and enforcing company policies and practices.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Process bi-weekly payroll including updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick pay, expense reimbursements, hourly-employee validations, 401k deferrals and other benefits changes.
  • Conduct new-hire orientations, exit interviews, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance.
  • Post open positions on various hiring platforms including Indeed, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc. and coordinate interviews with Management.
  • Maintain employee personnel records.
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as benefits, ST, LT or FMLA leave and compensation, policies, etc.
  • Administer compensation and benefit plans.
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, job descriptions, employee directory, and organizational chart.
  • Organize annual employee performance reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with labor regulations.
  • Report data for 401k Annual Census to third party administrator.
  • Assist in coordinating company-wide events.
  • Participate as a standing member of the Safety committee.
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned by Manager.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years Human Resources experience required. Background in manufacturing preferred.
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of national laws and regulations related to employment.
  • Awareness of OSHA regulations and compliance.
  • Background in building and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products; knowledge of HRIS and the ability to learn new systems when necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
