Heavy Civil Bridge Superintendent

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop, refine, and update project schedules.
• Full understanding of contract drawings and specifications.
• Manage project costs and company assets effectively.
• Create and maintain detailed project documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, material vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure all regulatory requirements are met throughout the project.
• Lead on-site teams and maintain strong working relationships.
• Enforce safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Develop daily crew lists and supervise field activities to meet project deadlines.
• Lead weekly foreman meetings.
• Proactively identify and solve potential issues with a two-week project forecast.
• Maintain compliance with all regulations.
• Foster a positive relationship with project owners and stakeholders.

REQUIREMENTS

• A Civil Engineering or construction-related degree is preferred, with at least 10 years of experience supervising bridge construction projects, particularly heavy civil bridge projects in Cincinnati, OH.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage complex projects.
• 10+ years of experience in construction.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and drive project completion.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time, exempt position. While the standard workweek is typically 40 hours, the emphasis is placed on fulfilling the responsibilities of the Heavy Civil Bridge Superintendent.
