A premier AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a talented Associate Attorney to join its Health Care Litigation practice, a specialized subgroup within the firm’s broader Consumer Financial Services group. This is an excellent opportunity for a California-barred litigator to join a team focused on complex health care disputes and regulatory matters.

 


 

Candidate Profile

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing.
  • 2–4 years of substantive litigation experience in state and federal courts.
  • Judicial clerkship experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with complex commercial or health care-related litigation, including ERISA benefits actions, payor-provider disputes, and regulatory compliance matters.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional research, writing, analytical, communication, and oral advocacy skills are a must. 
 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in complex health care litigation involving ERISA, consumer coverage disputes, and provider reimbursement issues.
  • Handle payor-provider contract disputes and regulatory investigations.
  • Conduct legal research, draft motions, manage discovery, and support trial strategy.
  • Advise clients on compliance with state and federal health care regulations.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and clients across a range of industries, including insurance, managed care, and medical providers.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Highly Competitive Salary: $235,000 – $275,000, commensurate with experience.
