We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Head of Business Development to lead and expand the commercial presence across the United States for our client headquartered in Germany. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep experience in building relationships, driving revenue, and scaling business operations in a competitive market. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s US growth strategy, identifying new opportunities, and cultivating long-term partnerships with key stakeholders.

This person must reside in the Northeast area in the US (Boston, NY, NJ, etc.)
Requirements of the Head of Business Development:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field required
- 7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial leadership, preferably in CDMO, or medical manufacturing services company
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and closing complex deals.
- Strong network and understanding of the US market landscape.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans.
- Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and manage teams.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
Responsibilities of the Head of Business Development:
- Develop and execute the US business development strategy aligned with global goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and secure new commercial opportunities across target markets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Lead negotiations and close high-value deals to drive revenue growth.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure successful product launches and market penetration.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the US business development team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and proposals to executive leadership and clients.
