Responsibilities

We are seeking an associate with 4+ years of experience to join our project development and finance practice. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in US project development and finance, particularly with distributed and utility-scale renewable energy projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling principal financing documentation typical in project financings, such as purchase agreements, partnership agreements, credit agreements, security and pledge agreements, and depositary agreements.
  • Managing key commercial project documentation, including development agreements, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts, site control, and interconnection agreements.
  • Conducting comprehensive due diligence for energy projects.

The firm requires working from the office 3 days per week.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or Master of Laws (LLM) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law or ability to become licensed in Massachusetts, Washington, D.C., New York, or California.
  • Minimum of four years of substantive experience in project finance, specifically within a law firm environment.
  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex financing and commercial documents.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and provide high-quality service to demanding clients.
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities with a proven track record of managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
