A highly regarded financial legal team is seeking an experienced attorney (6+ years) to join its Finance & Restructuring practice in Dallas. This role provides the opportunity to handle complex financing transactions, workouts, bankruptcy proceedings, and insolvency matters, working with top-tier financial institutions and corporate clients.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on corporate finance transactions, including senior debt, asset-based lending, cash flow, sponsor finance, unitranche, and mezzanine transactions
  • Represent clients in workouts, restructuring, and bankruptcy proceedings
  • Negotiate and draft credit agreements, security documents, and related financing contracts
  • Handle legal matters related to insolvency, creditor rights, and financial restructuring
  • Collaborate with clients on transaction structuring and risk assessment

 

Qualifications:

  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school
  • 6+ years of experience in corporate finance and restructuring at a major law firm
  • Licensed to practice in Texas
  • Strong legal writing, negotiation, and client advisory skills
  • Excellent academic credentials

 

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary range: $225,000 – $375,000, based on experience and role level (Associate, Senior Attorney, or Of Counsel)
