Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Field Service Technician to join our growing team. This role involves traveling to various job sites to install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial kitchen equipment — primarily in fast food and gas station restaurant settings. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, self-sufficient, and capable of problem-solving in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive a company vehicle and safely tow a 12-foot tandem axle trailer
- Conduct service maintenance on kitchen equipment, including temperature readings and troubleshooting
- Determine whether repair issues are within scope or require manufacturer warranty service
- Take and upload detailed photographs of all installations using company Share Drive
- Pick up and deliver materials to job sites and the fabrication shop as needed
- Use cordless power tools and standard hand tools (grinders, wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.)
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete tasks using a smartphone or tablet
- Collaborate effectively with a Spanish-speaking workforce (Spanish fluency is a plus)
- Operate independently while demonstrating excellent time management and critical thinking
Qualifications:
- Must have a clean background check and MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
- Experience driving a truck with a 12-foot tandem axle trailer
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose equipment issues
- Comfortable using smartphones and basic computer applications
- Fluent in Spanish or comfortable working closely with Spanish-speaking teams
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- Must be comfortable with frequent travel and overnight stays (up to 3x/week)
- Must be able to lift, move, and handle materials and tools as needed
Compensation & Hours:
- Location: Stockbridge, Georgia
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Approx. 55–60 hours/week.
- Start time typically 7:30am (earlier when traveling)
- Travel: 1–3 overnight trips per week (out-of-state); home on weekends
Compensation: $25-$35 Based on experience
Preferred Experience:
- 2+ years in a field service, mechanical, or maintenance technician role
- Experience working on or around commercial kitchen equipment
