This Fabricator/Tool Maker position will support the Industrial Engineering Department by performing the following duties:
 
Job Duties:
•Assure safety standards are followed at all times.
•Assure that quality standards are followed at all times.
•Fabricate, assemble, and validate different types of tools.
•Ability to fabricate fixtures for assemblies using sketches and/or prints.
•Ability to produce parts from sketches and/or prints.
•Ability to read drawings to determine tolerances for parts and fixtures.
•Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
•Provide expertise in the area of assembly processes and tooling validations.
•Operate precision machinery as needed.
•Write and edit programs for precision machinery.
•Ensure that precision machinery is in working condition and properly calibrated.
•Determine program requirements based on design and engineering requirements.
•Ability to cut and weld stainless steel and carbon steel.
•Ability to develop necessary form geometry needed for the forming tool design and fabrication. 
•Must be able to change tasks with little or no notice due to the nature of the business.
•Adhere to the standard work instructions (SWI).
•Contribute fully to continuous improvement initiatives.
•Adhere to 5S standards.
•Give suggestions for optimized solutions and potential tooling/production issues.
•Help to achieve team performance goals and objectives.
•Follow Quality/Environmental documentation including, but not limited to, SWI’s, forms, work instructions, and procedures.
•Follow company rules and policies/procedures.
•Ability to work overtime and/or weekends as required.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
•Contribute to the achievement of quality/management objectives by producing products to meet customer needs and expectations. 
•Follow all Quality Management Systems, the Environmental Management Systems, and, when applicable, support operations in Mexico in adhering to their systems as well. 
•Participate in plant recycling programs.
•Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); 
2 years’ tube bending experience.
