Entry Level Structural Engineer – Building Design

Our firm is looking for an entry level (0-2 years experience) individual who wants to be part of a growing team of engineers, works well on a team, and is self motivated.  As an entry level employee you will be exposed to all phases of the building process from design development through construction administration.  This is a full time position offering competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and future career potential.

Responsibilities:

• Perform hand calculations based on engineering principles and building code requirements.
• Utilize a variety of engineering software packages in computer aided design.
• Assist in the production of project documents for client submissions.
• Attended on site project meetings and inspections for projects during construction.
• Prepare formal written reports for clients summarizing on site observations.

Qualifications:

• B.S. in Civil Engineering, structural emphasis. M.S. preferred but not required.
• E.I.T. (or E.I.) certification.
• Relevant internships and experience with building materials including: structural steel, mild concrete, post-tensioned concrete, wood, and masonry.
• Familiar with computer analysis packages including: Bentley Suite (RAM), Computers & Structures Suite (ETABS).
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task.
