A global construction equipment manufacturer with a rapidly growing Americas operation is seeking an experienced Engineering Technical Lead to drive the development of a next-generation compact dozer platform. This role is responsible for product definition, engineering leadership, benchmarking, and cross-functional coordination with global engineering teams to deliver a competitive dozer for the North American market.
The position works closely with product management, service teams, and manufacturing to ensure the machine meets performance, reliability, cost, and technology expectations for the U.S. market.
• Lead engineering development of a compact crawler dozer platform (80–100 HP class) targeting competitive performance benchmarks.
• Define product specifications including powertrain, hydraulic systems, undercarriage, blade control, and operator interface.
• Ensure the product meets North American regulatory and performance standards.
Conduct detailed competitive analysis of machines to identify gaps across:
• Productivity
• Fuel efficiency
• Technology features
• Serviceability
• Operator comfort
Lead design and development across key machine systems, including:
• Powertrain (engine, cooling, transmission)
• Hydrostatic drive system
• Hydraulic blade control
• Undercarriage durability
• Structural frame design
• Electrical architecture
• Machine control integration (2D / 3D grading)
• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in dozer development or closely related heavy equipment engineering.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical decision-making skills.
• Onsite position; office and field/operations environment.
• Extended international onboarding period of approximately 3 months required.
