LOCATION: Buckeye Lake, Ohio
Are you considering a career change?
Looking for a smaller community(25K population), that offers a low cost of living(18% lower than US average) and plenty of activities in the area but is within an hour of a large city.
If so, an opportunity to work with an integrated health care system based in east central Ohio is looking for someone to join their team.
The system is a not-for-profit and has over 300 physicians and multiple outpatient care centers throughout the area.
The system is the largest provider in a six county region and a primary referral center.
It offers a higher level of service than what is typically found in a community of its size including open-heart surgery, trauma care, a Level II neonatal intermediate care unit, neurosurgery and
comprehensive cancer services.

SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for responding to emergency situations, provides skilled emergency and non-emergency services in a variety of areas including emergency medical and rescue operations, basic medical assistance, mentoring, training, quality improvement, public education, and recruitment.
The incumbent is responsible for providing supervision and care of patients in the pre-hospital environment including; performing critical basic procedures according to medical protocol; and perform independently in situations involving life support activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-As a member of the team, administers basic life support to patients at the scene, in-route to the hospital and in the pre-hospital environment in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, protocols, regulations, and standards.
-Safely operates emergency ambulances and other light duty emergency medical response vehicles Responding to emergency and non-emergency transports as directed by the Communications Center.
-Attend classes and perform those activities required to familiarize and maintain currency with the proper practices and procedures of emergency medical services to affect an efficient delivery of services.
-Assist in the rescue and extrication of victims of accidents, sudden illness or entrapment using proper rescue and medical techniques.
-Communication with additional medical personnel and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further treatment and/or to arrange reception of patients to the appropriate center.
-Respond to emergency calls in a professional and prompt manner; providing high quality patient care.
-Completes a full check sheet for assigned vehicle(s), Assure ambulance and first response vehicles are stocked fueled and ready to respond to the next call.
-Report any day to day incidents, equipment malfunctions, or supply shortages in writing to the duty coordinator or supervisor prior to the end of your shift.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS:
Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Successful completion of EMT-B and certified in the State of Ohio or Successful completion of EMT-A and State of Ohio certification.
Maintains CME responsibilities per State Guidelines for certification to include BLS, ACLS, PALS, ASLS, CPR, ITLS or PHTLS certifications.
Certified Emergency Vehicle Operator certification.
Must be 23 years of age or older to drive emergency medical vehicle.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
The position is offering for EMT-B($16hr-$$22hr) and EMT-A($15hr-$17.50hr). The position offers a full benefit package.
