Electrical Mechanical Engineering Designer Field Service Technician – 30 percent travel

  • Four or more years of service technician experience, mechanical engineering design experience with rotating mechanical equipment, electronic controls design experience, electronic circuit design experience, experience troubleshooting mechanical equipment, CAD experience with electrical designs and Bills of Materials experience are all required
  • A mechanical engineering or electrical engineering degree and the ability to travel up to 30% is required
  • Pay is up from $60,000 to $100,000, depending upon experience
  • Travel is up to 30% domestically
  • Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
  • No remote as this is an onsite position
  • Full-time, permanent W-2 employee
  • Full benefits

  • Located in the Racine, Wisconsin area

The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate should include the following:

  • Installing, repairing and servicing rotating mechanical equipment
  • Supporting engineering design of rotating mechanical equipment
  • Performing the duties of a service technician
  • Creating and modifying AutoCAD designs for electronic controls and electrical schematics
  • Developing and modifying controllers in C, Visual BASIC and Assembly language
  • Creating Bills of Materials
  • Providing telephone support
  • Traveling up to 30%

 

The background of the successful candidate must include the following to be considered for this position:

  • A mechanical engineering degree
  • Four or more years of service technician experience
  • Four or more years of mechanical engineering design experience with rotating mechanical equipment
  • Four or more years of electronic controls design experience
  • Four or more years of electronic circuit design experience
  • Four or more years of experience troubleshooting mechanical equipment
  • Four or more years of CAD experience with electrical designs
  • Four or more years of Bills of Materials experience
  • Possess the ability to travel up to 30%
  • Possess a solid work history
  • Being a US citizen or green card holder
  • Having a residence within a 45-minute drive
