Electrical Automation Controls Systems Engineer in the service department

  • This position is in the service area and reports to the Service Manager
  • A BSEE degree; four or more years of custom machine design experience; three or more years of electrical hardware design experience; three or more years of robot, HMI and PLC programming experience; and three or more years of Vision Systems experience are all required
  • Domestic and international travel is up to 25%
  • Pay is up to $120,000
  • Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
  • No remote as it is onsite while not traveling

This position is in the service area and reports to the Service Manager. There are advancement opportunities and this could grow into management, if that is of interest. Duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:
  • Evaluating customer needs
  • Designing custom industrial automation machines
  • Designing electrical controls and electrical power distribution
  • Designing electrical hardware
  • Programming robots, servos, HMI’s and PLCs
  • Working with Vision Systems
  • Testing
  • Servicing custom machines
  • Creating quotes for customers
  • Traveling domestically and internationally to customer sites up to 25%
 

The background of the successful candidate must include the following to be considered for this position:

  • Four or more years of custom machine design experience
  • A BSEE degree
  • Three or more years of electrical hardware design experience
  • Three or more years of robot, HMI and PLC programming experience
  • Three or more years of Vision Systems experience
  • Possess the ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
  • Possess a solid work history
  • Being a US citizen or green card holder
  • Having a residence within a 45 minute drive
