Job Overview:

Under the direction of the Department Director and supervision of the Cardiac Cath Lab Manager, you will:

  • Perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound imaging procedures according to department standards
  • Serve as a customer service representative to patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff
  • Participate in quality control and organizational improvement activities
  • Act as a clinical/technical resource for less experienced sonographers

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a program in cardiac echocardiography approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or equivalent training through self-study, on-the-job training, etc.
  • National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire or
  • National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire
  • National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of national certification examinations in cardiac echocardiography, color doppler, and stress testing conducted by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers upon hire
  • Experience as a hospital-based Sonographer
