EC Self-contained Teacher

The EC self-contained teacher plays a vital role in fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students with exceptionalities. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with exceptionalities.

• Utilize a variety of teaching methods to engage students and facilitate learning.

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s degree is preferred.
• Valid state teaching certification in special education or eligibility for such licensure.
• Must be certified in North Carolina in an EC area.
• Experience working with students with exceptionalities in an educational setting.
• Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Capability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
