Director of People Services
Location: McMinnville, OR
Employment Type: Full Time
Salary Range: $110,000 – $145,000 annually

About the Organization:

A 60-bed acute-care hospital in McMinnville, OR, dedicated to providing high-quality healthcare services. Accredited by The Joint Commission and certified as an accredited Chest Pain Center, the facility offers comprehensive services such as Surgical Services, Cardiac Care, Oncology, Family Birthing, Endoscopy, and Therapy Services.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead People Services Operations: Develop, implement, and evaluate organization-wide HR functions including recruitment, compensation/benefits, and employee relations.

  • Ensure Compliance: Oversee adherence to standards from regulatory agencies (e.g., Joint Commission, OSHA).

  • Manage Team Performance: Direct and assess departmental performance, ensuring technical and managerial competency.

  • Drive Strategy: Provide strategic direction for employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and leadership development.

  • Lead HR Team: Manage and mentor a team of HR/People Services professionals.

  • Advise Senior Management: Analyze complex situations and offer recommendations with significant organizational impact.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (Required)

  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive HR/People Services experience with expertise in employee relations, talent acquisition, training, and compensation management

  • Union Experience: Recent experience required

  • Skills: Strong quantitative skills for budget/compensation analysis and deep knowledge of employment laws, CMS, OSHA, and TJC regulations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree

  • PHR/SPHR certification

  • Supervisory experience overseeing HR/People Services teams

  • Multi-site employee relations experience

  • Extensive knowledge of federal/state employment law and regulatory compliance
