Our client, a world-class luxury resort, is seeking an experienced Director of Butler Services to lead their Butler team. This position emphasizes training, associate development, and the implementation of policies and procedures that uphold the standards of a premier resort environment. The ideal candidate will act as a point of contact for guests, handling special requests, concerns, and ensuring a seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional internal and external guest service, ensuring every interaction exceeds expectations.
  • Lead all day-to-day Butler operations while fostering strong guest relations and mentoring the team to deliver superior service.
  • Serve as a liaison, communicating on behalf of ownership, executives, and key stakeholders.
  • Meet and exceed financial goals, managing budgets and resources effectively.
  • Lead efforts to enhance guest experiences, creating memorable moments that align with luxury resort standards.
  • Oversee the growth and maintenance of services, ensuring world-class experiences.
  • Support sales teams during tours and site visits, contributing to upselling activities to close group deals.
  • Ensure smooth daily operations within the Butler department, maintaining high safety standards through regular audits.
  • Lead and motivate staff, oversee scheduling, payroll, and implement disciplinary measures when necessary.
  • Assist in creating the annual operating budget while providing feedback to improve financial health and team development.
  • Ensure timely and professional communication of resort updates to associates.
  • Attend all mandatory meetings and represent the Butler department in resort-wide initiatives.
  • Maintain Forbes 5-star standards throughout all guest interactions, from check-in to check-out.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5-6 years of managerial experience in Butler services, preferably in a luxury resort. Butler Director experience is a plus.
  • Strong customer service training and staff development skills with a proven track record of retention.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to handle complex tasks in a high-pressure environment.
