Position Summary:
As the Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for generating new
business leads by utilization of existing industry contacts, market research, networking
& participation in local/national industry organizations. The position requires upselling
to current Clients, identifying executive level decision makers within target accounts,
engaging prospects through various outreach tactics, pre-qualifying opportunities, &
initiating the sale-cycle by setting appointments for our strategic team to execute on &
continue driving the company’s national growth.
Essential Job Duties:
· Meet and exceed quarterly and yearly revenue targets and KPIs.
· Drive new business revenue across multiple private security service sectors
· Produce detailed proposal presentations for prospective clients and apply specific
consultative sales techniques, including needs assessment, active listening, and
solution-based selling, to offer each customer a high-value, tailored security solution.
· Review & respond to incoming RFP & RFQ opportunities.
· Manage relationships, track sales opportunities, and organize customer information
efficiently.
· Maintain awareness of industry trends in security and managed services to help
strategically position Digital Provisions’ offerings in different markets.
· Travel outside of the NY Metro & Tristate areas – 25% of the time.
· Liaise with internal teams, including C-suite executives, finance, operations, and HR.
· Maintain confidentiality of all information and data
· Keep records and prepare accurate and timely reports both manually and through
automated methods and produce all required weekly/monthly/quarterly reports.
Experience, Qualifications & Skills:
· 5+ years of experience successfully leading and executing strategic business
development and account management with a proven record in the private security
industry, preferably with a national reach
· A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a managerial or leadership role
· Operational experience managing a team of security officers or working as a security
officer is a huge plus.
· Effective communication and people skills, with the ability to give in-person
presentations/demonstrations to potential customers.
· Strong familiarity with MS Office & Google Workspace
· Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho) to enhance customer
relationship management.
