The Design Engineer is responsible for creating plans, drawings, and designs for custom products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Apply engineering principles and techniques to manage projects effectively.
- Design Development: Create economical, small to medium-scale designs that enhance the company’s competitive edge.
- Drafting/Detailing: Utilize computer-aided 3D software to perform detailed drafting based on specifications and product requirements.
- Manufacturing Preparation: Prepare orders for production by providing detailed fabrication and purchasing instructions.
- ERP Input: Input Bills of Materials (BOM) and manufacturing methods into the ERP system.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents.
- Mathematical proficiency, including understanding algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions, and applying them to practical situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and employees.
- Ability to interpret various instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
