Commercial Roofing Supervisor

My ESOP client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Roofing and Sheet Metal Supervisor to join our team in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky market. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge in commercial roofing systems, sheet metal installation, and team leadership. Bi-lingual candidates will be a plus. This role is responsible for overseeing and managing approximately 3 to 5 roofing and sheet metal project crews at a time, ensuring high-quality work, adherence to plans and safety protocols, and timely completion within budget.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Crew Management:

Supervise and coordinate commercial roofing and sheet metal project crews, making sure the work done meets the project scope, safety standards, and project schedule.

Attendance to job and scheduling meetings will be required on a job-by-job basis.

Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members and ensure efficient workflow.

Resolve any on-site issues or conflicts that may arise.

 

Quality Control:

Inspect work sites to ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies.

Conduct regular quality checks to ensure that work meets or exceeds the project plans as well as industry standards. Report and address any deficiencies promptly to maintain the highest quality of work.

 

Safety and Compliance:

Work with the Safety Director to enforce safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment. Assist in conducting safety meetings and training sessions.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

 

Material and Resource Management:

Communicate with and assist the Purchasing Assistant in the procurement and delivery of materials and equipment to the job sites. Monitor inventory levels and placement on the jobsite to ensure efficient and proper usage of resources. Assist in the management and control of labor cost projections.

 

Client and Stakeholder Relations:

Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Provide regular updates on project status, addressing any concerns or changes promptly.

Ensure client satisfaction through quality workmanship and professional service.

 

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or trade school education preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roofing and sheet metal work, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Extensive knowledge of various commercial roofing systems, sheet metal fabrication, and installation techniques.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

Proficient in using project management software and tools.

Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.

Bi-lingual in English and Spanish a plus.

 

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.

Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including climbing ladders.  Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.
