The Role – Commercial Plumbing Estimator
You’ll be the architect of numbers, wielding a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of plumbing systems to craft accurate and competitive estimates for our client’s high-profile commercial projects. From luxury hotels and bustling office towers to intricate retail spaces and expansive public buildings, your estimates will shape the financial blueprint for these urban masterpieces.
Responsibilities:
Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and proposals to meticulously calculate material and labor costs for commercial plumbing projects
Utilize specialized estimating software (BIM) to generate accurate and detailed bids
Maintain strong relationships with plumbing vendors and subcontractors to secure the best pricing and materials
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure estimates reflect project scope and requirements
Negotiate with clients and secure contracts for projects
Track bid status and provide updates to project teams
Assist with proposal preparation and scope of work definition
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred)
Minimum 10 years of experience as a Commercial Plumbing Estimator
Proven track record of accurately estimating complex commercial plumbing projects
Thorough understanding of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency in estimating software (BIM)
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Detail-oriented and meticulous with a strong focus on accuracy
