A growing multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a Civil Designer to support residential land development projects in the Charlotte area. Responsibilities
- Prepare civil engineering design plans for residential land development projects
- Develop grading, roadway, storm drainage, and utility plans using Civil 3D
- Assist with stormwater management design, erosion control plans, and permitting documentation
- Support project teams through design, documentation, permitting, and construction phases
- Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project managers to meet deadlines and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering (EIT preferred)
- 2+ years of experience in land development design, ideally residential subdivisions
- Experience with Civil 3D design including grading, roadway profiles, utilities, and storm drainage
- Familiarity with stormwater management and erosion control practices
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
- Experience with HydroCAD, Hydraflow, Bluebeam, and related design software preferred
