Compensation $100,000 – $115,000 Per Year + PAID Relocation
The Controls Engineer will lead the design, development, installation, and maintenance of control systems for a chemical manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for ensuring the automation systems operate effectively, safely, and in compliance with all relevant regulations. The Senior Controls Engineer will work closely with process engineers, maintenance teams, and operations to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement efforts through automation and control strategies.
Responsibilities:
Designing control loops to maintain critical process variables within specified ranges
Implementing advanced control strategies like model predictive control (MPC) for optimal process optimization
Analyzing process data to identify potential issues and troubleshoot problems
Collaborating with chemists and process engineers to develop new products and optimize existing processes
Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards related to chemical handling and safety
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years’ experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment
3+ years in a chemical process environment.
Experience with variable frequency drives, PLC, Foxboro, Allen Bradley
Experience in batch and continuous process control optimization
