Growing company with 500+ offices in over a dozen states and several thousand employees. This position will be a key member of management that has a direct impact on results and will be very visible. 
 
The department currently has 7 Adjusters & 1 Team Lead – all located from our San Antonio office, We expect this department to grow – Incoming claims are from multiple states throughout the country. This person reports to the VP of Claims.  
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
 Effectively communicate the company’s vision and organizational changes and goals
 Accountable for the settlement of Attorney Represented claims while meeting statutory,
regulatory and casualty best practices requirements
 Create an environment that inspires excellent customer service
 Foster teamwork/collaboration within the unit and organization
 Train, manage and motivate employees within the Casualty Department
 Utilize daily reports, file reviews, performance reviews and coaching sessions to
develop direct reports and ensure they achieve departmental goals
 Manage payroll and execute key human resources policies
 Other duties will be assigned by management as needed
 Adhere to all regulatory and casualty claims practices and procedures followed by the
company
 Manage UM/UIM litigation and arbitration files. Assign claims to counsel, monitor and
approve litigation expenses, prepare and submit reports, prepare and submit trial
authority requests
 Manage complex and/or serious injury unrepresented and attorney represented cases.
 Maintain current knowledge of statutes and case law decisions affecting various
jurisdictions
 Maintain statutory license requirements and be in good standing
Qualifications/Requirements
 Must be able to adapt to change and handle a fast-paced environment
 Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
 Proven decision making skills and the ability to resolve escalated claim issues
 World class customer service skills within a team environment

Education/Training/Experience
 Minimum of seven years of casualty experience required
 Uninsured/underinsured and litigation experience required
 Previous leadership experience preferred but not required if experience meets
requirements
 College Degree preferred but not required if experience meets requirements
 Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and
Outlook) preferred
 Texas Adjuster’s license required.
 
This position requires a licensed professional, with proven experience managing a team of adjusters that regularly coordinate with the litigation and arbitration process through the company attorneys. 
 
Fast paced environment, demanding, but can also be very rewarding.
