Cardiologist
Compensation: $500K-$700K per year
Job Type: Flexible hours, Monday–Friday, No call.
A well-established, physician-led group located in Suffolk County, Long Island, is currently seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiologist to become part of their growing team. This practice has built a stellar reputation for clinical excellence, patient satisfaction, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a key clinical provider in the delivery of high-quality cardiac care.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments including history taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests.
- Manage both acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions using evidence-based practices.
- Create and oversee individualized treatment plans that promote long-term heart health.
- Provide clear communication and education to patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive strategies.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists, and care teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Provide clinical oversight to nurses, technologists, and support staff within the practice.
- Mentor clinical trainees including students, physician extenders, and interns.
- Stay compliant with HIPAA, NYS DOH, CMS, and relevant payer guidelines.
- Participate in population health initiatives and support ongoing quality improvement projects.
- Contribute to the development of a sustainable patient panel aligned with practice growth objectives.
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) with active or eligible board certification in Cardiology.
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New York State.
- Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Familiarity with EMRs and value-based care metrics is a plus.
