$800M SEC Life Sciences Company—S. Plainfield, NJ — $75-85K, plus bonus (15 days pay once per year)
THE SIZZLE:
• Role is hybrid – 4x per week in office with Fridays remote
• 2+ years of experience, must have life sciences/pharma/biotech
• NetSuite experience preferred, SAP or Oracle works too
• Role reports to Purchasing Manager

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Maintain an orderly system to track direct materials for the business
• Manage vendor database and support vendor setup process in NetSuite
• Ensure management of target inventory levels
• Support and participate in price negotiations with vendors
• Drive to PPV savings and cost savings targets
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials to sites
• Identify and manage supply chain risks, communicate with internal and external stakeholders to mitigate risks
• Drive initiatives and continuous process improvement to help the team to become more efficient and effective
• Generates internal management reports for weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reporting of spend
• This role will have the opportunity for development and learning by assisting with the following:
• Annual planning processes with respect to development of direct materials spend targets
• Leading data, process and reporting improvement initiatives
• Partnering with business leaders to address pain points and challenges
• Broad spectrum of negotiation discussions
• Continuous improvement to the Multiomics procurement process
• What you will bring…
• This position requires 2+ years of relevant experience (purchasing demand /production planning within a manufacturing environment)
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, APICS certification (CPIM) preferred
• Requires the ability to operate with a sense of urgency, prioritize assignments and be self-directed
• Experience with Lean / Continuous Improvement teams and activities
• Expert capability in modern sourcing principles
• Strong preference for a candidate with knowledge of NetSuite based planning system
• Strong preference for a candidate with experience in Life Science Services industry
• Ability to analyze cost effectiveness and make sound commercial / business decisions
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple competing priorities for multiple projects.
