Join our growing pharmaceutical client as they onboard a Business Development Manager to work closely with the Associate Director of Business Development, driving ongoing growth in product pipelines and sales opportunities. This individual will engage with external partners and collaborate across internal teams to identify and execute new business initiatives within the generic pharmaceutical space. Our client is a mid-sized company in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in providing solutions for its manufacturer clients, particularly in the generic pharmaceutical arena.
Required Qualifications for the Business Development Manager:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years of experience in a related role, preferably in the generic pharmaceutical industry
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with demonstrated business acumen
Proficiency in Excel and analytical tools (e.g., Microsoft BI, Access)
Experience validating and analyzing large data sets
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable delivering formal presentations and representing the organization
Self-motivated and proactive with a high degree of initiative
Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager:
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned pharmaceutical manufacturer accounts and build strong business relationships
Identify and pursue product portfolio expansion opportunities; negotiate acquisition costs for new products
Present the business model and services to generic drug manufacturers to establish partnerships
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to accelerate product launches
Align portfolio and pricing strategies with manufacturers in coordination with Marketing and Sales Operations
Join monthly supplier calls with the Supply Chain team and stay updated on changes in forecasts
Develop and present bid and pricing strategies for new product launches to leadership
Lead and guide analysts involved in product opportunity assessments and supplier proposals
Represent the company at select industry events to build brand awareness
Regularly report on new product opportunities, results, and capture rates
