Business & Commercial Disputes 

Mid-Senior Litigation Associate

Location: Charlotte, NC

 

International Am Law 100 firm seeking a skilled and motivated mid-senior litigation associate to join its nationally recognized Business & Commercial Disputes practice in Charlotte.

 

Qualifications:

  • JD from a Top Tier school, with high level of academic achievement.
  • At least 3 years of experience in complex litigation.
  • Strong academic credentials and highly developed research skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex litigation matters in North Carolina Superior Court, Business Court, and Federal District Courts; experience in North Carolina Bankruptcy Courts is a plus.
  • Draft and respond to pleadings and motions.
  • Oversee all stages of discovery, including taking and defending depositions, propounding and responding to written discovery requests, issuing and responding to subpoenas, and handling discovery dispute motions.
  • Argue at hearings.
  • Experience with appellate work and trial is preferred but not required; bankruptcy litigation experience is also a plus.
  • Demonstrate superior written and oral communication skills.
  • Exhibit a client-focused attitude and a strong work ethic, with the ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously in a team-oriented environment.
