BIM & CAD Lead

Job Overview:
This remote opportunity allows you to remain where you currently live while traveling on occasion to both established and new clients nationwide (estimated at 10-30%). This position is responsible for leading and managing all digital design and drawing production activities across multiple projects. The role serves as the firm’s subject matter expert in Revit, CAD, and BIM systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and efficiency in project coordination and documentation. You’ll oversee drawing standards, provide technical support to engineering and project teams, and drive continuous improvement in digital design workflows. This opportunity also includes mentoring staff, implementing innovative design tools, and contributing technical expertise to engineering projects – functioning as a lead engineer when needed.
Ideal Candidate Background:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical field with at least 8+ years of progressive experience using Revit, CAD, and BIM coordination.
- Experience working with fire protection systems/industry or very closely related (architecture, engineering, and construction industry).
- Proven ability to develop and maintain drawing templates, client standards, and troubleshoot complex BIM/CAD challenges across multiple projects.
- Autodesk Revit certification or similar credentials are preferred.
