Attorney – Personal Injury

Our client is a prominent trial law firm based in Hempstead, NY, dedicated to advocating for injured individuals. With a track record of recovering hundreds of million dollars in verdicts and settlements. They provide big firm experience with small firm attention.

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

This is a full-time on-site role for an Associate Attorney who will be responsible for representing personal injury clients in New York.

• Handle a case load, attend court, negotiate settlements, oversee trial preparation, conduct trials, and attend meditations and arbitration’s
• Advise clients of claim liability and legal rights interpret laws, rulings, and regulations.
• Conduct depositions and respond to discovery demands
• Ability to conduct discovery and draft motions
• Gather evidence to initiate and support legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of case
• Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases
• Gather evidence to initiate and support legal actions, evaluate findings, and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases, and update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.

MAIN REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 3 years of plaintiff’s personal injury experience.
• Trial experience is a plus.
• Ability to speak Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Must possess a license to practice law in New York State.

Salary is between 110K -130K. (+40% on all originated cases that get settled).  Plus, strong benefits.
