Associate – Restructuring

Our client is a global law firm and has been practicing for over 100 years. They seek a 2^nd, 3^rd or 4^th year associate to join its Restructuring Team in NYC. (Working hybrid out of their mid-town NYC location).

They have an international reputation and an emphasis of representation of clients before governmental agencies, successful advocacy in litigation and arbitration, and creative and practical advice in structuring business transactions. 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drafting of all types of corporate and reorganization documents, including disclosure statements and plans of reorganization
• Conducting complex research and drafting analysis of factual and legal issues
• Drafting agreements and corporate documents
• Conducting due diligence
• Communication with clients
• Assisting clients with corporate governance
• Analyzing complex capital structures and financial issues
• Preparing and participate in witness interviews, depositions, & court hearing
• Develop business strategies and client pitches.

MAIN REQUIREMENTS:

• 1-3 years of experience representing banks and others on Structured Finance transactions
• New York Bar membership required.     
• Prior experience working for a AmLaw 100 firm
• Attended top Law School
• Work closely with partners and senior associates. The associates interact directly with clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
• Excellent academic credentials, (top law schools), strong communication and client service skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and manage time to meet deadlines and complete projects.
• New York Bar membership required.       

The expected pay range for this position is: $275,000-$415,000 (DOE) plus benefits
