Assistant Nursing Home Administrator

We are partnering with a respected nursing home in New Orleans, LA, seeking a qualified Assistant Nursing Home Administrator to support the facility’s leadership team. This position is ideal for an experienced healthcare professional with strong leadership skills and knowledge of long-term care regulations. The Assistant Administrator will assist the Nursing Home Administrator in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance, and maintaining high-quality care for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Nursing Home Administrator in the daily management of the facility to ensure quality resident care and efficient operations.
  • Help oversee compliance with state and federal regulations, including CMS and LDH requirements.
  • Support department heads and staff in managing clinical and administrative functions.
  • Participate in budgeting, financial planning, and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in resolving resident and family concerns and ensure a positive living environment for residents.
  • Contribute to the facility’s quality assurance and improvement programs.
  • Help prepare for state and federal inspections and ensure the facility meets all regulatory standards.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, families, physicians, and the community.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field.
  • Active Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license in the state of Louisiana preferred, but not required for Assistant Administrator positions if equivalent experience is present.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare leadership role, preferably within a long-term care or nursing home setting.
  • Strong understanding of Medicare/Medicaid regulations, CMS, and LDH standards.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Experience in financial management and administrative operations in a healthcare setting.

Hourly Pay Range:

  • $40 to $55 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
