Applied Chiller Service Technician

Snapshot / Role Overview
We’re hiring an Applied Chiller Service Technician in San Francisco, CA to handle service, repairs, and diagnostics on large commercial HVAC systems—especially chillers.

Impact

• Keep critical systems cool and reliable

• Troubleshoot and fix complex mechanical issues

• Deliver expert service clients can count on

• Minimize downtime with efficient, high-quality work

Responsibilities

• Service and repair air- and water-cooled chillers (screw, centrifugal, magnetic)

• Perform teardowns, rebuilds, and major diagnostics

• Support system startups and commissioning

• Communicate with customers and complete service reports

• Follow all safety and OEM procedures

Requirements
Must-Haves

• 12+ years of commercial HVAC experience

• 5+ years working directly with applied systems and chillers

• Skilled with screw and centrifugal units

• Based in the San Francisco area with a solid job history

• Strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities

Nice-to-Haves

• Factory training or OEM certifications (Trane, York, Carrier, etc.)

• Centrifugal teardown experience

• EPA Universal, OSHA 10/30

• Bonus: controls or BAS knowledge
