Service Technician, Indianapolis area
Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 5:00, No on call!
Our Client is a mid sized, water treatment company with years of experience in the Boiler, Cooling Tower, Closed-Loop, and Legionella industries, they can meet all commercial/industrial water treatment needs. Since the founding of the company in 1965, their singular focus has been to provide high-quality, dependable water treatment services to companies in industries such as Food Processing, Health Care, Plastics, Manufacturing and HVAC.
Service technician role includes challenges, independence and variety that make this an excellent opportunity.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performs tests to determine chemical levels and system parameters. This requires observing color changes.
Handles common water treatment industry chemicals.
Fills chemical tanks per specifications. Must perform basic calculations and lift up to 75 pounds and be able to move 150 pounds.
Repairs and calibrates all equipment. Requires basic electronics troubleshooting skills.
Uses basic wiring skills for voltages up to 240 volts.
Installs equipment for sales order specifications.
Fills out service reports and related forms completely, accurately, and legibly.
Requirements:
Prefer candidate with knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and/or science background.
Our candidate would prefer mobile field service as opposed to laboratory.
Prior water treatment experience with HVAC systems or water softener systems is a plus. Military training & experience is highly valued in a similar field (such as Machinist Mate, etc.)
