Manual Vertical Turret Lathe and Horizontal Boring Mill Machinist
  • Must have one or more years of manual X, Y, Z, W and B axis’ machining experience with horizontal boring mills and vertical turret lathe experience as well as one or more years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings to be considered
  • Work hours are from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday
  • Pay is $16 per hour to $38 per hour (depending on experience) plus possible overtime on Fridays
  • Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
  • No remote

This full time, permanent career opportunity is for a Vertical Turret Lathe and Horizontal Boring Mill Machinist at a niche, custom machine manufacturer.  Employees are never bored as there is a lot of variety in the products produced, the work is not repetitive and the machines are all custom. The company products make a difference to customers. The company supports its employees and employee growth. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:
  • Working from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday with overtime possible on Fridays
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Setting up and running manual horizontal boring mills and vertical turret lathes
  • Utilizing the X, Y, Z,W and B axis’
 
The background of the successful candidate must include the following:
  • One or more years of X, Y, Z, W and B axis’ machining experience on a horizontal boring mill
  • One or more years of vertical turret lathe experience
  • One or more years of experience machining parts weighing from one to twenty tons
  • One or more years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Possess a solid work history
  • Being a US citizen or green card holder
  • Having a residence within a 45 minute drive
