We are seeking a talented and experienced Tax Supervisor/Senior to join a well established and stable accounting firm here in the Triad.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a firm, demonstrating proficiency in tax compliance, preparation, and review for Subchapter S corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
While a CPA is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. The Tax Supervisor/Senior will play a vital role in overseeing tax-related activities, including projections, research on complex tax issues, and utilizing tax software such as Drake.

Responsibilities:
- Tax Return Preparation and Review:
- Lead the preparation and/or review of Subchapter S business returns, Partnership business returns, and Individual returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
- Tax Projections and Estimated Taxes:
- Play a key role in the preparation of tax projections and calculations of estimated taxes, contributing to strategic planning for clients.
- State and Local Tax Expertise:
- Demonstrate expertise in State and Local tax matters, ensuring compliance and staying abreast of relevant regulations for clients operating in various jurisdictions.
- Research and Scenario Development:
- Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues, providing valuable insights and developing scenarios to optimize tax positions for clients.
- Tax Software Utilization:
- Utilize tax software, including Drake or similar tools, efficiently to streamline the tax preparation and filing processes.
- QuickBooks Proficiency:
- Showcase familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software, leveraging it effectively to support clients in managing their financial records.
- Supervision and Training:
- Provide guidance and supervision to junior staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
- Client Interaction:
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information, address inquiries, and provide expert guidance on tax-related matters.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a firm.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in the preparation and review of Subchapter S, Partnership, and Individual tax returns.
- Proficiency in tax software, preferably Drake or similar tools.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software.
- State and Local tax experience.
- Strong research skills and the ability to develop comprehensive tax scenarios.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
