We are seeking a talented and experienced Tax Supervisor/Senior to join a well established and stable accounting firm here in the Triad.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a firm, demonstrating proficiency in tax compliance, preparation, and review for Subchapter S corporations, partnerships, and individuals.

While a CPA is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. The Tax Supervisor/Senior will play a vital role in overseeing tax-related activities, including projections, research on complex tax issues, and utilizing tax software such as Drake.

Responsibilities:

  • Tax Return Preparation and Review:
  • Lead the preparation and/or review of Subchapter S business returns, Partnership business returns, and Individual returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Tax Projections and Estimated Taxes:
  • Play a key role in the preparation of tax projections and calculations of estimated taxes, contributing to strategic planning for clients.
  • State and Local Tax Expertise:
  • Demonstrate expertise in State and Local tax matters, ensuring compliance and staying abreast of relevant regulations for clients operating in various jurisdictions.
  • Research and Scenario Development:
  • Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues, providing valuable insights and developing scenarios to optimize tax positions for clients.
  • Tax Software Utilization:
  • Utilize tax software, including Drake or similar tools, efficiently to streamline the tax preparation and filing processes.
  • QuickBooks Proficiency:
  • Showcase familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software, leveraging it effectively to support clients in managing their financial records.
  • Supervision and Training:
  • Provide guidance and supervision to junior staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
  • Client Interaction:
  • Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information, address inquiries, and provide expert guidance on tax-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a firm.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
  • Proven experience in the preparation and review of Subchapter S, Partnership, and Individual tax returns.
  • Proficiency in tax software, preferably Drake or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software.
  • State and Local tax experience.
  • Strong research skills and the ability to develop comprehensive tax scenarios.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
